Elbjazz Festival [2015]

Since quite a while I love to visit the yearly Elbjazz (→) Festival in Hamburg. It is such a wonderful location: the main stages are located inside the bloom+voss (→) shipyard, with several further stages located all around the Hamburg port, including its latest superstar location, the Elbphilharmonie (→). And it is such a great long weekend with friends, festival food and drinks, moving around and great music.

Back in 2015 I took my camera with me to capture some Streetscapes and Cityscapes, while enjoying the fantastic concerts.

My personal highlight of the Elbjazz Festival 2015 concerts was the one of LaBrassBanda (→). They’ve created such a great energetic and fun atmosphere! But I will also remember the gigs of Allan Harris (→), Monty Alexander (→) and KUU! (→). All due to different reasons…

And there are so many more great musicians, that I was able to see during the Elbjazz Festivals of the last years: Avishai Cohen Trio (→) | Baptiste Trotignon (→) | Gregory Porter (→) | Ibrahim Maalouf (→) | Nils Landgren (→) | Nils Wülker (→) | Julian & Roman Wasserfuhr (→) | BudZillus (→) … I’m really looking forward for the next ones to come.

Let’s see what 2022 will bring, now that there is an end of the Covid-19 pandemic (→) mandatory break. This year’s Elbjazz Festival starts 3rd of June…
